imc receives "Family-friendly company" quality seal

For the past ten years, saaris e.V., the government of the Saarland and the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) have been honouring companies that make a special, credible and authentic commitment to the compatibility of family and career. This now also includes imc.

Saarbruecken, January 2023

imc has successfully completed the certification process to become a family-friendly employer. Project manager Ursula Kuningham of the "Servicestelle Leben und Arbeiten" (saaris e.V.) presented the corresponding "Family-friendly company" certificate in Saarbrücken on 12 January 2023.

For Sarah Pitzius, Human Resources Officer at imc, several aspects were decisive for the quick certification: "Firstly, our really flexible, hybrid working time model, which is particularly well received by parents," explains Pitzius. "In addition, we offer the possibility to work part-time during or even after parental leave - an offer that is very well received and is also used by fathers. In general, the proportion of fathers who take parental leave for longer than two months is steadily increasing, which we expressly welcome."

Saarland-wide, around 200 companies have been successfully advised and certified since 2013. Those who want the seal can apply to the responsible IHK "Servicetelle Leben und Arbeiten" at saaris e.V. and will be evaluated by them on five criteria: Flexibility of working hours, organisation and location; care for children, parental leave and re-entry; compatibility of work and care; communication and information; service and support offers. After two years, there is the possibility of re-certification.

imc receives eLearning Award for “Adaptive Learning”

The eLearning Journal has awarded imc with the eLearning Award 2023 in the category "adaptive learning". From more than 300 submissions from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the jury of the eLearning Journal awards innovative projects with showcase character in more than 50 categories.

Saarbruecken, January 2023

In the category "adaptive learning", the "Digit@l Fitness Check" was awarded, which imc developed together with a German car manufacturer to motivate and empower all employees to participate and actively shape the digital transformation.

The Digit@l Fitness Check is a responsive, quiz-based digital learning module with the aim of arousing interest, motivating, imparting basic knowledge on topics of digitization and providing individual orientation on which learning opportunities are most relevant for an employee. To this end, the learning module uses a specially developed scoring system that provides learners with individual learning recommendations based on their answers. In this way, users can receive targeted and individualized training in line with their learning needs.

Since the training is aimed at all employees, the prior knowledge of the learners varies greatly. One of the challenges for the experts was therefore to anticipate and compensate for the possible overload with the large selection of offers. "The feedback shows that the learners are enthusiastic about the novel form of knowledge preparation," explains Sven R. Becker, Board Member of imc. "The deliberately provocative implementation of a „Fitness Challenge“ fits very well with the client's corporate culture and was particularly well received by younger target groups."

For the 13th time, the eLearning Journal 2022 jury will present the eLearning AWARD. With over 300 project submissions, the interest in the eLearning AWARD was unbroken. In the end, state-of-the-art projects prevailed in 50 categories. If you would like to learn more about the awards, please take a look here.

Channels: Innovation Pack 14.13

Channels: Welcome to the age of self-directed learning

Innovation Pack 14.13 for the imc Learning Suite makes learning more self-determined than ever before

25.07.2022

Corporate learning and the learner's expectations are changing fundamentally. Learners no longer want to put up with dull face-to-face teaching and the cramming of theoretical knowledge. "Learning experience" is the keyword, and this means not only the appealing design of learning content and portals, but also a different kind of learning: personalised, informal and above all self-directed.

Therefore imc introduces a new  function which puts learning experience in the center: The Channels. Innovation Pack 14.13 for imc Learning Suite allows a totally new way of self-directed learning.

The new channels are topic-based containers that contain learning nuggets on the respective topics. Learners can subscribe to topics and are always kept up to date via email notifications when there is new content.

The look and feel are reminiscent of familiar platforms such as YouTube or Netflix, making it intuitive for all learners. When consuming a Learning Nugget, a playlist of content from the same channel is displayed at the edge of the screen so learners can quickly move to the next Learning Nugget.

imc Presents Another Part of the 'Cyber Crime Time' Awareness Game

IT Security Training: imc Presents Another Part of the 'Cyber Crime Time' Awareness Game

The successful awareness game 'Cyber Crime Time' is extended. The 'Phishing Detection Booster' is now available. In order to continuously train learners in the field of IT security, imc is already working on a complete Learning Journey.

Saarbruecken, May 2022

imc, a leading provider of digital education and training, presents another part of its awareness game 'Cyber Crime Time' and declares war on data theft with the 'Phishing Detection Booster'.

"We've noticed unsual activity on your login account. Change you password immediately!" Almost every day we receive similar emails from dubious senders. The Phishing Detection Booster empowers learners to quickly and confidently decide if it is a fraud or not. The goal of the training is to gain a certain routine in recognizing clear signs of phishing mails. Using concrete examples, players learn to recognize the most important features of a fraud mail and immediately apply what they have learned to collect points and thus reach the next level.

Last year, imc enjoyed great success with its multi-award-winning serious game Cyber Crime Time. Dr. Robert Lohmann, Product Manager Learning Content at imc, is convinced of the quality of the training:
