Backend Software Java Developer

Although our office is based in Sibiu, we welcome applications from further afield, as we are happy for you to work remotely, however not quite 100%. You should live close enough to be able to commute to the office at least once every two weeks.
Your Tasks
- Develop a range of award-winning solutions for our learning management platform.
- Analyse business requirements, design technical solutions based on multiple technologies, implement, and test them.
- Take part to all development phases and continuously improve our processes/technologies.
- Adapt to complex projects, build know-how, share it, and coach your colleagues.
Your Strengths
- At least 2 years of experience in development, preferably in an agile environment.
- Sound knowledge of Java EE and Web applications using J2EE (servlets, JSP, custom tags).
- Experience of continuous integration (Jenkins, Ant/Gradle), deployment architecture or micro-services architecture is an advantage.
- Experience with Web/application servers and databases: Oracle/MS SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Good knowledge of OOP, design patterns and ability to produce high-quality code.
- Knowledge with testing tools and frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, Karma) would be an advantage.
- Understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript frameworks.
- Fluency in English is mandatory and German would be a big plus, but not essential.

Working at home or in the imc office? We offer "Full flexibility, but not 100% remote". You can combine the advantages of both worlds depending on your personal preferences.
