Welcome to International Diversity Week
The United Nations has designated 21 May as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development (“Cultural Diversity Day” for short). To mark the occasion, we at IMC are observing International Diversity Week.
Most of the world’s major wars have a cultural element. Understanding and appreciating cultural diversity is the best way to reduce the risk of future conflicts, as well as promoting equality and breaking the cycle of poverty. A crucial step towards understanding others is, of course, learning about their culture.
At IMC, we know firsthand the value of diversity. Our team members come from over 30 different countries, and have lived, studied, and worked all over the world. Here as everywhere, we’re dedicated to making learning as easy and fun as possible through cutting-edge technology. This can apply to cultural diversity just as easily as it can to office procedures and operating computer programs. Our Learning Suite can help with all your diversity and sensitivity training needs, through interactive tools that make learning about other cultures easy, fun, and safe.
The UN has defined four goals of Cultural Diversity Day. This week we’ll be discussing how e-learning can help your team meet all four of them. Check in tomorrow to learn more about the first goal.
