Filter manufacturer MANN+HUMMEL launches IMC learning platform
CLIX: Key aid to better coordination of world-wide learning processes
Up to the present, the training focus at MANN+HUMMEL has been on classroom trainings. However, this approach resulted in comparatively lengthy waiting lists for a total number of participants which was unsatisfactorily small. Further motives behind the launch of Learning Management at MANN+HUMMEL: successfully cope with disparities in the knowledge levels of training participants, reduce levels of preparatory work and post-processing required, and cut organizational costs which were too high for the training output achieved.
The new learning platform is to be used by 9,100 MANN+HUMMEL employees, spread across a total of 41 locations world-wide.
"The tricky future task which we are facing is to reinforce the integration and coordination of our world-wide employee-training activities, thereby enhancing our processes, achieving better deployment of our resources and getting better results from our training measures," explains Thomas Batsching, Vice President of International Affairs and Services at MANN+HUMMEL. "Scalable and adaptable to our requirements quickly and simply, the learning platform enabled IMC AG to convince us that a Learning Management System like CLIX is essential to achieving process excellence in the area of company training. Even at the first live presentation, IMC was able to more or less exactly model our sophisticated requirements."
Dr Wolfgang Kraemer, Board spokesperson at IMC AG, has this to say about IMC’s newest client: "Clients such as MANN+HUMMEL reflect the current market trend in Learning Management Systems. A large proportion of our clients are from the medium-sized business sector. While only a few years back, only large automotive corporations were launching Learning Management Systems, automotive suppliers are now waking up to the need for progressive learning solutions in the area of training. We very much applaud this development because we know that by covering the entire added-value chain of a given sector, training process enhancements achieve the most potential. Learning Life Cycle Management is the way, not only of enhancing knowledge and competence levels within organizations individually, but to achieving companies and industries which are generally more competitive."
