European Commission conducts training with Learning Management System CLIX

The EuropeAid Co-operation Office selected IMC AG due to best price-performance ratio and quality of services

Saarbrücken, 23. April 2007 – The Training and Knowledge Management Department of the EuropeAid Co-operation Office has selected IMC’s learning management system CLIX to conduct training and support the office’s knowledge management activities. “CLIX is a very smart and powerful solution”, says Giulio Groppi from EuropeAid.

The learning management system CLIX has been selected for the project “EuropeAid eCampus” to ensure the delivery and controlling of all e-learning activities within the EuropeAid Co-operation Office of the European Commission. The project started in January 2007 and focuses on a target group of 5.000 staff and stakeholders at the European Commission as well as in 100 delegations of the European Commission worldwide. Having finished the initialisation phase the learning environment is now ready to use and the EuropeAid staff is trained to administrate the application. In a pilot phase until April 2007 the daily use of CLIX® was tested by EuropeAid. The pilot aimed at validating the technical and teaching options before undertaking more ambitious deployment for all delegations.

In the eCampus project IMC does not only provide the technical solution to the Co-operation Office, but also consultancy services for the initialisation and implementation of the training delivery as well as for the organisational integration. In future the learning platform will particularly provide training for processes, methods, and special topics in the area of development cooperation training and the EuropeAid Information System “CRIS”. In this project CLIX® is implemented as a hosted ASP-solution (application service providing).
