The LECTURNITY test version

Scope of function of the test version (evaluation version)

Question: What are the restrictions of the test version compared with the full version of LECTURNITY?
Answer: In the test version of LECTURNITY, you have the full scope of LECTURNITY functions at your disposal, with the exception of the following limitations:

  • LECTURNITY Player, Editor and Publisher and full documents: LECTURNITY Player, Editor and Publisher can only play back or process documents that were created with a test version of LECTURNITY.
  • StreamingMedia documents and the "Evaluation" banner: RealMedia and WindowsMedia documents created with an evaluation version of LECTURNITY have red "Evaluation" lettering across every slide.
  • Length restrictions in the LECTURNITY CD Publisher: in the LECTURNITY CD Publisher, no documents longer than three minutes can be processed.

These limitations can be reversed following the purchase of a full version of LECTURNITY:

Reusing test documents

Question: Can documents created with a test version be reused in a full version of LECTURNITY?

Answer: Yes, after activation, LECTURNITY recording documents (LRD) and LECTURNITY presentation documents (LPD) can be reused with a full version of LECTURNITY without any restrictions. To activate existing LRDs and LPDs, please contact the LECTURNITY CustomerServiceCentre.

RealMedia or Windows

Media documents cannot be activated as the red "Evaluation" lettering is retained across the slides. In this case, however, you can create a corresponding new StreamingMedia document without the red lettering using the associated LECTURNITY recording document in the LECTURNITY Publisher.
