The fast track to e-learning content: LECTURNITY, the award-winning Rapid Authoring Tool.

The high-speed, low-cost way to get your point across. To any audience you choose. LECTURNITY not only helps you deliver your lecture, it also turns it into multimedia e-learning content. Together with your PowerPoint slides, your handwriting, your personality. And why not add test questions, and interactivity? Once you’ve finished planning, disseminate your ideas efficiently — our rapid authoring tool gives you easy access to the latest media technology.

The number one choice of professors and professionals: Without it, a modern university would be unthinkable. And now, more and more companies are also discovering the advantages of LECTURNITY. Hardly surprising, when you think about it: this authoring tool not only helps you record lectures or presentations in no time at all, it also gets your interactive training courses up and running with maximum efficiency.

And here's how rapid authoring with LECTURNITY works

Prerequisites: LECTURNITY is installed and the desired recording equipment is connected. Tip: To begin with, a headset and webcam are sufficient.  Or at least the built-in microphone on your laptop.

Step 3: Presenting

Press the record button (bottom left) and start your presentation! The toolbar on the bottom right provides various options for working in the slides. During your presentation, LECTURNITY records everything, indexes the text and synchronises the data streams.

Step 4: Press the stop button, done!

After ending the recording, everything is "in the can" so to speak. You can now distribute your production immediately using the Publisher or you can view it first in the Player or edit it in the Editor. The easiest way of calling up these functions is to use the graphical icons on the left: Player on the left, Editor in the middle and Publisher on the right.

You can also use the Editor to insert questions and tasks

Step 5: Editing (optional)

You can skip this step if you prefer. Lecture and presentation recordings are usually made accessible to the students immediately using the Publisher.

The Editor allows you to edit your recording and to add further media, such as video clips. Interactive elements, such as stop and skip marks, hyperlinks and various test tasks can also be added. You can also compile new media from several LECTURNITY recordings or update parts of older productions. There are too many possibilities to list in this introduction - you can find out more by referring to the manual (F1 key)!

To load your Editor project into the Publisher, you must first export it.

Step 6: Send it to the people

The Publisher opens up a wide range of distribution options for learning applications. The first time you use it, it's best to always click on "Next" and you will obtain a high-quality lpd document with all the typical conveniences of LECTURNITY.
Otherwise, you can choose different output formats, quality levels and user interfaces depending on who you wish to make your media accessible to. In the case of podcasts, please be aware of the small display on mobile devices when designing your slides.

Step 7: Viewing

The LECTURNITY Player is used to view your learning applications immediately after recording them. It also plays the lpd (LECTURNITY Presentation Document) format generated by the Publisher and offers a text search function and pin-sharp slide texts. The Player is available as a free download, immediately and without registration.
