The number one choice of professors and professionals: Without it, a modern university would be unthinkable. And now, more and more companies are also discovering the advantages of LECTURNITY. Hardly surprising, when you think about it: this authoring tool not only helps you record lectures or presentations in no time at all, it also gets your interactive training courses up and running with maximum efficiency.

Born in a university lecture hall: the history of LECTURNITY

In 1996, the Authoring on the Fly research project was started at the University of Freiburg under the professorship of Prof. Thomas Ottmann. The aim was to record lectures without additional effort, but in better quality than simple video recordings. In 2001, in collaboration with IMC, a marketable product called LECTURNITY was created. The name stands for lectures turned into eternity. Ultimately, IMC incorporated the Freiburg development department into its own company. The then project manager, Dr Rainer Müller, today heads the LECTURNITY development office. Since May 2007, LECTURNITY 2 has made it possible to integrate interactive elements, which means the linearity of the presentation can be broken down and the possible uses increased. Today, the rapid authoring tool is used in many companies and educational institutions, including over 100 universities.
