LECTURNITY® 2: Winner of the German Education Media Award „digita 2008”

The Jury’s Opinion: „Outstanding Tool for Content Production“

 

Saarbruecken, 03 March 2008 – This year’s Education Media Award “digita 2008” goes to LECTURNITY® 2, IMC’s authoring suite for rapid e-learning content production. IMC is Europe’s leading provider of learning technologies. LECTURNITY® 2 is the winner in the category “Didactical Tools”.

 

The education media award „digita” is the most prestigious German award for learning technologies. The category „Didactical Tools“ honors software products that effectively support teaching and learning processes. An independent jury of educational experts selects nominees and finalists for the award.

 

This year, 25 media productions, software programs and online educational resources for secondary and tertiary education, professional training and private education have been nominated. According to the jury, all products deliver convincing didactical concepts and outstanding leaning content. A total of 93 products have been turned in as candidates for the award by media companies, publishing houses, and independent software developers.

 

„For everybody interested in technology enhanced learning, LECTURNITY® offers an outstanding solution for content production, “ the jury points out. “When using LECTURNITY®, teachers and authors never loose control over the content production process. LECTURNITY® is a software tool fort he easy and rapid production of learning content. LECTURNITY® records presentations and lectures of all kinds. Handwritten annotations on presentation slides as well as video and audio streams are simultaneously recorded and integrated into a recording document. LECTURNITY® productions can be further edited and modified so that linear, time-based recording documents turn into structured learning object. LECTURNITY® is easy to handle; assessments and tests provide the learner with feedback and various ways of interacting with the content. The automatic indexing of information on presentation slides is the basis for effective search and retrieval possibilities within the learning documents.
