Swiss Life opts for CLIX Learning Management System

Decision follows in-depth evaluation confirming IMC AG as leading Learning Management solution provider

Swiss Life has a reputation as a groundbreaker in the application of e-learning in the insurance sector. As far back as 1998, the Swiss corporation was already making intensive use of its own specially designed e-learning platform. Swiss Life has now taken the decision to move on from this corporate-specific solution by opting for the CLIX Learning Management System provided by IMC AG.

The decision comes in the wake of an in-depth evaluation of a number of different providers and the completion of a wide-ranging pilot project which has been useful in identifying Swiss Life’s future requirements for blended learning. Alongside the evidence from this pilot project, Swiss Life’s decision mainly rests on IMC’s ability to ensure the long-term sustainability of its standard software. This software has a proven track record in a wide range of successful benchmark installations in the insurance and financial services sector and will grow to meet clients’ future demands.

CLIX will initially be looking after the needs of Swiss Life’s Swiss-based workforce. Following the changeover and in the mid-term, all offerings for further training for both external company agents and internal employees will be handled via CLIX. This will include training offerings which are exclusively online, as well as blended learning and classroom seminars. Alongside the CLIX 6 basis system, first presented to the wider public by IMC at the Learntec in February, the scope of the CLIX installation at Swiss Life is also to include licences for the product components CLIX Advanced Testing, CLIX Finance Controlling and CLIX Report Designer, thus enabling all-round training controlling.

Christian Wachter, CEO at IMC Switzerland AG, evaluates the Swiss Life decision as follows: “This contract confirms and further strengthens our already strong position in the very important Swiss market.” Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, board spokesman at IMC AG adds: “Customer appreciation of IMC’s project approach, attention to detail, and, in particular, financial  stability, has been key in the success we have had in the Swiss market over the past five years. Customers opting for IMC can be secure in the knowledge that they are buying into a system which is technically proven today, while remaining open for innovation for tomorrow.”

For Swiss Life, deciding for IMC and the application of CLIX provides this benefit: “Within the framework of our ambitious plans in the field of further training, our processes are optimized continuously, supporting the training process with the right kind of learning management system. By going for CLIX 6.0, we know that we have chosen a first-class product. At all stages of the project, we have drawn benefit from the expert support and consulting provided by IMC. We place great value on being able to rely on experts in the field, able to satisfy our needs, both now and in the longer term.”
