Now available: resource and event management with CLIX 7.1

With the release of CLIX 7.1, available since 15/08/2007, IMC AG has included a complete revision of the “Resource and Event Management” product components, using resources required for events that can be efficiently booked, managed and their use optimised.

All functions are integrated completely into the existing CLIX components. This makes it possible to display the multi-layered working steps of training and event management in a process-oriented way, using an integrated software solution.

IMC AG has placed great importance on achieving high levels of user friendliness in the components. Proven, core CLIX technologies such as the multiple language facility, scalability and the 100% browser-based user interface guarantee the efficient, low-cost operation of the solution.

Resource management revolves around managing master data for the implementation of real or virtual training initiatives. Alongside materials and equipment (flipchart, projector etc.), rooms (training buildings, meeting hotels, event rooms etc.), specific groups of people (internal and external trainers, ‘teletutors’, consultants etc.) and hotel services (reservation, catering services, etc.) can be recorded and managed, enterprise-wide, on an up-to-date, redundancy-free and consistent basis.

In planning, the focus is on the availability of resources. Availability dates can be determined by the various people involved using a common interface and administered in a central planning calendar.

When it comes to managing the events themselves, centrally held information can be distributed in the form of checklists, reports and printable materials, specific to target groups.

The software makes it possible to perform subsequent event and resource checks for each individual resource or group of resources after use. This includes the efficient, simple provision of answers in respect of the occupancy and load of individual resources.

Together with the new ‘social software’ and ‘informal learning in communities’ functions available since February in CLIX 7.0 and now enhanced, IMC’s LMS is now a complete solution, making available to modern training organisations all relevant functions for training processes in an integrated, web-based environment. Whether it’s a question of processes for pure e-learning, for the support of in-person events or for the management of hybrid ‘blended learning’ projects, each and every scenario can be fully supported using the software.

In addition, the CLIX analytics included with version 7.0 have been further enhanced in 7.1. CLIX 7.1 supports SCORM 1.3 and contains additional language versions for customers in Asia. A range of technological enhancements and improvements have been applied in the user interface.

With CLIX 7.1, IMC has expanded the LMS and the e-learning suite with the long term in mind. Used together with LECTURNITY 2.0, new learning scenarios involving podcasts are also possible.
