BASF deploys CLIX as an application service providing solution (ASP) managed by IMC. By sourcing out the operation of the learning platform BASF follows a major trend IMC already identified last year for the market of large enterprises. In the first stage of the rollout the BASF learning management system will be offered to all European group affiliates; for this CLIX provides the platform languages German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
According to the evaluation of BASF IMC has been selected among other international vendors because with CLIX the company provides an independent and open integration architecture for ERP environments, and was able to present the most powerful and technically mature multi-language solution.
Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, spokesman of the management board, about the successful pitch: ”It is rarely possible in these days to get another major company for a corporate learning solution with potentialities, especially in Germany.
