Semantic supporting services for the professional integration and personal compentency development

The project "Semantic supporting services for the professional integration and personal compentency development (SABINE)" deals with compentency

management using semantic technologies in the domain of e-learning and

e-recruting. Using competency profiles and context-sensitive information the

project aims at developping semantic services for the professional integration and advancement in order to facilitate a custom-fit support and consulting to

employees, employers and intermediaries in recruitment and human resources development.

In this project IMC has the coordinating lead and is responsible for the

conceptual design of methods for the semantic services and instruments used

throughout this project as well as for the practical implementation of those

concepts in a web-based and widget-based basic technology. Partner in the

project is the Saarland University, chair for management-informationsystems,

professor Dr. Strohmeier.

SABINE is part of the "THESEUS SME 2009" technology competition and is funded

in the context of the THESEUS research program initiated by the Federal

Ministry of Economy and Technology (BMWi).
