Patrick Roth, born 18 May 1967, studied electrical engineering at the University of Saarland. After his studies Patrick Roth began his professional career as a software developer at i-Punkt Software, a medium-sized software company in Saarland. Patrick Roth was promoted to Development Manager following this. He led the project development of standard software for technical service and upkeep of industrial facilities at i-Punkt Software. A position in management at i-Punkt Software followed in 2000.

At the beginning of 2001, Patrick Roth transferred to imc AG where he was first employed as a project manager for CLIX. At the end of 2001, Mr Roth was assigned to the management of the CLIX product development field, and in 2003 he took over the management of CLIX product development. Patrick Roth was appointed as authorised representative in 2005 and promoted to a managerial position at imc AG. As Senior Vice President for CLIX Development, Patrick Roth takes responsibility for CLIX Service Field Support, technical service and ASP, alongside product development.
